Job Brief:

IT administrator role is to ensure smooth functioning of IT infrastructure which includes VMs, routers, switches, firewall, LAN, Internet, servers etc.  

Minimum Academic Qualification:

B.E. / Diploma / BSc (Computer) with CCNA certification

Relevant Experience: 5 years

Job Title: IT Administrator

Responsibilities:

  • Installing, Configuring, Troubleshooting and Maintaining the Servers, PC’s, Routers and Switches, Firewall
  • Installing, configuring and administering Virtual machines on several hypervisors like KVM, Vmware
  • Backup Management, Reporting and Recovery, Disaster Recovery
  • Analysis of Security Alerts and Implementation of Recommendations Third-party middleware and database software
  • Configure, operate and troubleshoot Servers in Linux Environment
  • Documentation of all the work done using Visio, Excel and MS word.
  • Help negotiate hardware, software, and networking contracts with vendors
  • Configure and implement Remote Access Solution e.g. VPN
  • Provide intranet VPN solution and IPSec Tunneling

Skills:

  • Hands-on experience on Linux OS variants like Ubuntu, RedHat, CentOS
  • Knowledge of Linux commands related to networking and shell scripting
  • Managing policies,  monitoring alerts on Firewall
  • Well understanding of Bridging and switching concepts and LAN technologies
  • IP addressing and subnetting, Routing and VPN concepts
  • Implemented SNMP on devices to allow for network management

Hardware Skills:

  • Expertise hands in troubleshooting of laptops, Servers and other computer hardware related problems such like UPS, SMPS, Cooling system, Printer and Drivers
  • Computer assembling and maintenance. Troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
  • Installing and configuring the OS, software applications, peripherals, components and drivers
  • Troubleshoot using support from vendors for general IT equipment problems
